Jennifer Kindert was born in Bangkok, Thailand. Adopted by Swedish parents, she spent her childhood and teen years in Stockholm, Sweden.

After high-school, she studied visual art at Folkuniversitetet-Konstskolan in Stockholm and later moved to New York City to attend State University of New York's Fashion Institute of Technology from which she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a major in Illustration.

She now makes her home in Dallas, Texas with her husband, two sons and three very fluffy, and incorrigibly spoiled cat 'children.' She works as a freelance illustrator and teaching artist.
